Western Mississippi Mud Cake recipe

Western Mississippi Mud Cake ingredients:

2 cup Sugar
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup flour
4 large Eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. Cocoa
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 cup Shredded coconut
1 cup Chopped nuts
1 Jars Marshmallow creme; 7 oz
1 powdered sugar.
1/3 cup Cocoa
1/2 cup softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Western Mississippi Mud Cake preparation:

1. CAKE: In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add flour and eggs and beat 1 minute.
3. Add vanilla, cocoa, salt, coconut, and chopped nuts.
4. Beat 2 minutes more.
5. Pour into a lightly greased 9x13-inch cake pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 40 minutes.
6. Spread jar of marshmellow creme on cake while hot. Sprinkle with additional coarsely, chopped nuts, if desired.
7. Let cool; frost.
8. FROSTING: Mix frosting ingredients with enough hot water to mix well.
9. Spread frosting mixture over cake.
10. Sprinkle top with more nuts, if desired.
11. If kept refrigerated, cake will be fudge-like, or very moist when kept at room temperature.
12. For an extra treat, zap a refrigerated piece in the microwave; top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
