Velvet Pumpkin Cake ingredients:

1 1/2 cup bisquick
1/2 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Pumpkin pie mix
1 Eggs
2 tbsp. -Shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
Sweetened Whipped Cream

Velvet Pumpkin Cake preparation:

1. Recipe by: Bisquick 1971 cook book.
2. Blend all ingredients except the whipped cream in a large mixer bowl on low speed 1/2 min, scraping bowl frequently.
3. Beat 4 mins.
4. medium speed.
5. Pour batter into greased and flours square pan, 8 by 8 by 2 inches or round layer pan, 9 by 1 1/2 inches.
6. Bake @ 350 deg. for 35-40 mins or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
7. Serve warm with whipped cream.
8. Says it makes a one layer beauty, served warm in a snowdrift of whipped cream.
