Shaker Honey Almond Cake preparation: 1. Sift together first five dry ingredeients. 2. Melt shortenings and add to them both sugars. 3. Beat eggs until fluffy; add honey and sour cream and add the butter sugar mixture to them, stirring vigorously. 4. Gradually stir in dry ingredients. 5. Turn batter into a buttered and floured 9 inch cake tin 2 inches deep and cover top with almonds. 6. Bake 375 for about 45 minutes or until it tests done. 7. Remove from pan to cake rack and cool. 8.
