Red Velvet Pound Cake ingredients:

3	cup	Unsifted flour
3/4	cup	Milk
3	cup	Sugar
1		Bottled red food coloring
3/4	cup	-Shortening
7		Eggs
1/2	cup	butter
1	tsp.	baking powder
1	tbsp.	vanilla
1/4	tsp.	Salt
1/2	cup	Cocoa
		ICING
8	oz.	cream cheese, softened
1/2		Confectioners' sugar
		Plus 2 tb
1	tsp.	vanilla
1/2		butter; soft

Red Velvet Pound Cake preparation:

1. CAKE-Cream sugar, shortening, vanilla, food coloring and eggs.

2. Add dry ingredients and milk.

3. Bake in large and floured tube pan for 1-1/2 hours at 275~.

4. Turn out of pan to cool.

5. ICING-Cream together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and butter.
