Raspberry Nut Cake ingredients:

2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 cup CriscoŽ
1 1/4 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup Fresh raspberries
---FROSTING---
1/3 cup butter or margarine, soft
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 cup powdered sugar.
2 tbsp. Pureed raspberries
3 tbsp. Cream; warm
1 tsp. vanilla

Raspberry Nut Cake preparation:

1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Cream sugar and crisco.
3. Add eggs and vanilla.
4. Add dry mixture alternately with milk.
5. Fold in nuts and raspberries.
6. Pour into 2 well greased 8 layer pans.
7. Bake 350~ 30-40 minutes.
8. Cool and frost.
9. Pink Raspberry Frosting: Cream butter or margarine, salt, and blend in cups confectioners sugar alternately with pureed raspberries and 2-3 tbls hot cream.
10. Add vanilla, mix and frost cake.
