Quick White Cake* (Reb) 40-45 ingredients:

2 cup Sifted cake flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1 cup Skim Milk
3 tsp. baking powder
4 Egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
margarine (optional)

Quick White Cake* (Reb) 40-45 preparation:

1. *If desired, use plan confectioners' sugar frosting.
2. These cakes may be filled with jelly, preserves, or lemon cornstarch filling.
3. Preheat oven to 350* (moderate).
4. Prepare a 10-inch tube pan or two 8-inch layer pans by greasing lightly with oil or margarine and dusting with flour.
5. Sift together in a mixing bowl the flour, salt, and sugar.
6. Add the oil and 2/3 cup of the milk.
7. Stir until the flour is dampened and beat 1 minute, Stir in the baking powder and add the remaining 1/2 cup milk, the egg whites, and vanilla.
8. Beat 2 minutes.
9. pour into the pans and bake 25-40 minutes.
