Pineapple Pound Cake recipe

Pineapple Pound Cake ingredients:

1 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup Poppy Seeds
1 tsp. Almond extract
1 cup butter, room temperature
2 1/4 cup Sugar
5 Eggs, separated, room temperature
2 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. Cinnamon

Pineapple Pound Cake preparation:

1. In a large mixing bowl beat together butter (or shortening), eggs, pineapple juice concentrate, and water until thoroughly blended.
2. Add flour, baking soda, and baking powder; beat just until blended.
3. Spoon mixture evening into a 9 x 5 oiled and floured loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
4. Cool on a wire rack.
