3/4	cup	-Shortening
3		Eggs
1	cup	buttermilk
2	cup	flour
1	cup	Raisins
1	tsp.	Cinnamon
1/2	tsp.	Nutmeg
1/2	tsp.	cloves
1/2	tsp.	Salt
1	tsp.	Baking soda
1	tsp.	baking powder

Maple Syrup Spice Cake preparation:

1. Cream syrup, shortening, and eggs.

2. Mix dry ingred with buttermilk.

3. Add to creamed mixture and beat until well blended.

4. Bake in 8x8 pan for 35 min or til done.

5. Pan should be greased and floured.
