Makosteszta (Poppy-Seed Cake) recipe

Category: Cakes

Makosteszta (Poppy-Seed Cake) ingredients:

1 pk Yellow cake mix
1 pk Inst chocolate pudding mix/4 oz
3/4 cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Vodka
1/4 cup Irish Cream liquer
4 Eggs
Irish custard sauce:
6 large Eggs yolks
1/3 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Irish whiskey

Makosteszta (Poppy-Seed Cake) preparation:

1. Method: Make a dough with the flour, baking powder, the yolks of eggs, the milk, and a little sugar.
2. Beat well and let stand for 1/2 hour.
3. Roll out to about 1/2 inch thick, cover with the poppy seeds, which have been well mixed with the cream, sugar, and grated peel, and bake in a moderate oven.
4. I don't bake much, so I don't know if this is a good recipe or not. Notice they say moderate oven (I think that is 325-350*) and they don't say how long.
5. If you want to make this, you could go by other cake recipes that are similar to figure out the time.
6. from Recipes of All Nations.
