Lard Cake preparation: 1. * Mixed with 1/3 c water. 2. Seperate eggs; beat whites until frothy. 3. Beat in 1/2 cup of the sugar; keep beating until whites form stiff peaks. 4. In another mixing bowl cream lard with remaining cup of sugar. 5. When softened add flour, salt, and baking powder. 6. Beat for about a minute. 7. Add egg yolks, evaporated milk mixed with water, and vanilla and mix well. 8. Carefully fold in egg white mixture. 9.
