Jane wyman's cupcakes with chocolate sauce recipe

Jane wyman's cupcakes with chocolate sauce ingredients:

3/4 cup shortening or butter
1 cup Sugar
4 Egg yolks; beaten well
1 1/4 cup flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. Baking soda
2 dash Salt
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
chocolate SAUCE
3 oz. Squares unsweeten chocolate
1/2 cup Milk
1 tsp. Batter from cupcakes
1/2 cup Strong coffee
2 cup Milk
2 cup Sugar

Jane wyman's cupcakes with chocolate sauce preparation:

1. Cupcakes: cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add yolks.
3. Mix well.
4. Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
5. Add sugar-egg mixture.
6. Mix well.
7. Fold in. mix well.
8. Reserve 1 tsp batter for sauce.
9. Pour 2/3 full into greased or lined muffin tins.
10. Bake at 375°F for 18-20 minutes.
11. chocolate sauce: combine chocolate, milk and batter in top of double boiler.
12. Allow to blend and thicken.
13. Add coffee.
14. Bring to a boil, stirring.
15. Add milk & sugar.
16. Boil 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
17. Serve while hot over cupcakes that have been cut in halves.
18. This is a good way to brighten up old cakes too.
