German Chocolate Cake Using Mix ingredients:

Tomato-mustard coulis:
1/2 cup Tomato concassee (peeled seeded and Chopped tomatoes)
3 tbsp. Creole mustard
2 tsp. Minced shallots
2 tsp. Minced garlic
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/2 cup chicken stock or water
1/2 cup olive oil
Chicken-andouille cakes
1 tsp. Plus 2 tablespoons oil
2 tbsp. Finely-chopped green pepper, onion and Celery
1/2 tsp. Minced garlic
1/2 lb Raw chicken breasts finely chopped
1/2 cup Andouille sausage, cooked drained and crumbled
1 Eggs
Up to 1 cup bread crumbs
Creole spice
Salt and pepper
Poached eggs:
1 tbsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vinegar
4 Eggs

German Chocolate Cake Using Mix preparation:

1. *Note: You may use 1/2 sour cream + 3/4 c. water instead of buttermilk, if desired.
2. Combine all cake ingredients in large mixer bowl.
3. Blend; beat 4 minutes at med. speed.
4. Pour into 3 greased and floured 9 layer pans.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (or until cake springs back when lightly pressed).
6. Cool in pans for 15 minutes.
7. Remove and finish cooling on racks.
8. Fill and top with coconut filling.
9. Combine filling ingredients in saucepan.
10. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened (about 12 minutes).
11. Remove from heat; add: 1 1/3 c. chopped pecans and coconut.
12. Cool, beating occasionally, until of spreading consistency.
13. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
