Easy Sponge Cake recipe

Easy Sponge Cake ingredients:

4 x Eggs
2/3 cup Sugar
x Pinch of salt
1/2 cup flour
1/5 cup Cornstarch
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Easy Sponge Cake preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. (or about 170 C) Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
2. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar and salt until consistent and thick.
3. Add the flour and starch, mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until snowy and stiff.
5. Fold into the egg yolk mixture, then transfer to a small greased and floured cake mold.
6. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes.
7. Check if it is cooked by inserting a knife in the center.
8. If the knife comes out clean, then the cake is done.
9. Remove from oven when cooked, then let it cool for an hour before refrigerating.
10. Before serving, remove from the mold.
11. Use a knife to loosen the edges - the cake should come through easily.
