Easy Orange Cake ingredients:

2 1/4 cup crushed pineapple
2 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
1 1/3 cup Sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground allspice
1/2 cup Vegetable shortening
1/2 cup Milk
3 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup Raisins
--- Frosting: ---
1 cup Sugar
2 tbsp. Light corn syrup
3 tbsp. Pineapple syrup
2 Egg whites
1/4 tsp. Cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Easy Orange Cake preparation:

1. Easy Orange Cake 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours This is very nice with an orange butter icing - sweet butter whipped with confectioners' sugar and orange juice concentrate to which has been added 1 tablespoon of grated fresh orange rind.
2. To Cook: Place the cake mix, orange juice, and eggs in a large bowl and beat by hand 300 times.
3. Add the grated rind for the last round of beating.
4. Pour the batter into a well- greased-and floured 2-quart mold or spring-form pan. Place the pan in the slow cooker and cover with a loosely fitting plate.
5. Cover the pot, but prop the lid open a fraction with a toothpick or a twist of foil to let excess steam escape.
6. Cook on High for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.
7. When a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, the cake is done.
8. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes before turning the cake out of the pan. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
