All-In-One-Pan Chocolate Cake recipe

All-In-One-Pan Chocolate Cake ingredients:

3 cup flour
2 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Cocoa
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 cup water
3/4 cup Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp. White vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Frosting:
1/3 cup Unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup Solid vegetable shortening
2/3 cup Sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup Milk; heated to almost Boiling

All-In-One-Pan Chocolate Cake preparation:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
3. Mix with a large rubber spatula until smooth, taking care to mix ingredients along edges.
4. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
5. Cool completely on wire rack.
6. FROSTING: combine butter and shortening in a food processor or mixing bowl.
7. Add sugar and vanilla.
8. Mix until smooth, about 2 minutes.
9. Slowly drizzle in milk.
10. Beat 2 minutes in food processor or 7-10 minutes with a mixer, until smooth, satiny and fluffy.
11. Chill just 20 minutes before frosting.
